Killer Bees Honey Shipping Costs Are Rising March 1st

Honey is heavy and shipping it across the country, especially to the west coast, is a significant expense. Since our beginnings in 2016, we've charged a flat shipping rate of $6.95 for all orders under $70, with free shipping for anything over $70. During this same time frame, we've watched as shipping costs from all three major carriers increased.

We ship most of our customers' orders via USPS and the upcoming February 27, 2019 increase in postal rates, as well as recent rate increases from both FedEx and UPS, has necessitated a reevaluation of our shipping costs. USPS is dramatically increasing their rates in 2019 for priority packages between $0.75 to $2.50 per package. This increase is too much for us to absorb. Thus, we are increasing our flat rate by $0.55, to a flat rate of $7.50 per order. We will maintain our free shipping policy for all orders over $50.

We are painfully aware that an increase in shipping cost sucks. Big time. But the reality of increased rates has forced us to adjust. We hope you understand. If it is any consolation, we are not doing an exact match of the carriers rate increases and will be absorbing some of the increased costs.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.
