PROPOLIS TINCTURE
Processed from the highest quality propolis in a whole grain alcohol to produce a tincture. At 75% it is highly concentrated and potent.
Propolis is a complex mixture of plant sap, tree resin, beeswax and honeybees natural enzymes, all blended in a secret alchemy created by the honeybee. In it’s basic very sticky form, beekeepers call it “bee glue”, used by bees to line the inside of hive and protect against disease and seal cracks. Propolis is antimicrobial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial. With its antiseptic properties it helps insure a clean environment and acts as the bees immune system. Ancient civilizations used propolis for a variety of medicinal purposes including fighting infection and healing wounds
According to webmd.com studies are beginning to show what ancient civilizations already knew. As an oral supplement in tincture form, propolis can provide some excellent health benefits. Per 2019 NIH review, there is “significant promise for propolis as an effective antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent with particular promise in cardioimetabolic health.
Suggested use and dosage for adults: Shake well before use. 20-30 drops (1 ml., one full squeeze of dropper), once or twice daily, due to high concentration; bottle contains approximately 30-40 doses. Due to its very nature, it has a strong medicinal taste. Put drops directly onto tongue, or dilute in a glass of water, tea, or juice and drink the all at once. As a dark and sticky compound it can stain. DO NOT use if allergic to bees, or for children under two years old.
