Killer Bees Honey is a 2021 Good Food Awards Finalist
We were informed today by the Good Food Foundation that Killer Bees Honey was named a 2021 Good Food Awards Finalist for our sourwood honey.
The Good Food Awards (GFA) is an annual event that recognizes outstanding craft food producers for product excellence. GFA celebrates foods that are “tasty, authentic and responsibly produced.” Close to 2000 U.S. entries in 16 categories compete in a blind tasting performed by Industry leaders, technical experts, food writers and chefs. Finalists have exceeded not just in producing a superior tasting product, but they have met or exceeded sustainability standards, good animal husbandry, social responsibility and a commitment to building more equitable food systems.
Killer Bees Honey is proud of what our hive girls do. Producing not only some of the finest tasting honey in America, but sustaining the biodiversity of the Western Carolina mountain forests they call home. We are pleased to represent the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association (NCSBA), and all the small, artisanal honey producers located in the South.
GFA winners will be announced November 16, 2020.
